The National Karyana Sena, an organisation representing farmers and traders, has issued a deadline to the central government to approve the proposed rollback of the UGC regulations. The group’s national president, Shiv Singh Shekhawat, announced that if the government fails to meet the demand, a large protest will be organized in Jaipur on 25 October. The protest is aimed at pressuring the government to reconsider the UGC rules that the organisation believes will adversely affect the agricultural sector. The announcement was made by the Sena during a press conference in Jaipur, according to the local news outlet Amar Ujala.
