Naidu, Chouhan Unveil First 3 Lakh PMAY‑G Homes in Andhra Pradesh

The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY‑G) aims to construct nine lakh affordable homes for rural households in Andhra Pradesh. During a formal ceremony, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Union Minister Nitin Chouhan laid the foundation stone for the first tranche of three lakh houses. The event marked a significant milestone in the state’s housing agenda, signalling the start of a large-scale implementation effort. Officials said the construction of the remaining six lakh homes will follow the same model, with a target completion by the end of the fiscal year.
