Nchumbemo Mozhui of Nagaland has been sworn in as an Additional Judge of the Gauhati High Court, expanding the bench to address increasing caseload.
In a ceremony at the Gauhati High Court, Nchumbemo Mozhui was sworn in as an Additional Judge, marking a significant addition to the bench of the northeastern state's highest court.
Mozhui, a native of Nagaland, will now preside over cases that span the entire northeastern region, helping to alleviate the growing backlog of litigation in the court.
The appointment follows the guidelines issued by the Supreme Court and the Ministry of Law, which oversee judicial appointments across India.
With his induction, the Gauhati High Court aims to improve the speed and efficiency of justice delivery for the people of Assam, Nagaland and other adjoining states.
