Naga communities in Manipur have been forced to abandon their homes and are now waiting for humanitarian assistance, according to reports. Local authorities have yet to provide a clear timeline for relief.
Several Naga families in Manipur were compelled to leave their villages amid escalating tensions in the region, leaving behind homes and livelihoods. The displaced groups have gathered in temporary shelters, where basic necessities remain scarce.
Reports indicate that the communities are still awaiting aid from government agencies and non‑governmental organizations. Despite appeals for assistance, relief teams have not yet arrived, and the situation remains uncertain.
Local officials have acknowledged the displacement but have not yet released a definitive schedule for delivering relief supplies or arranging safe resettlement. The lack of clear communication has heightened anxiety among the affected families.
Humanitarian groups are monitoring the situation closely and urging authorities to expedite the provision of food, water, and medical support to prevent further hardship.
