A Naga students’ group has called for an autonomous panel to manage the Inner Line Permit system in the state. The demand aims to give local youth a direct role in overseeing the permit process.
A Naga students’ group has formally asked the Nagaland government to establish an autonomous panel to oversee the Inner Line Permit (ILP) system.
The group argues that such a panel should function independently of the current bureaucratic arrangement to better reflect the aspirations of local youth.
State authorities have confirmed they have received the request and are examining it in accordance with existing rules and stakeholder consultations.
