Musheer Khan becomes first Mumbai player this century to notch a first‑class century and a five‑wicket haul

Mumbai's domestic cricket scene witnessed a historic all‑round performance when Musheer Khan scored a century and claimed five wickets in a single first‑class fixture. The dual achievement marks the first time a Mumbai player has managed both milestones in the same match since the turn of the century.

Such a combination of batting and bowling brilliance is rare in Indian first‑class cricket, where specialists often dominate either discipline. Khan's ability to contribute significantly with both bat and ball underscores his potential as a genuine all‑rounder.

The performance drew immediate attention from team officials and cricket analysts, who highlighted the impact of his contribution on the match outcome. Observers noted that the feat could enhance his prospects for higher honours, including selection for higher‑level domestic squads.

Mumbai cricket, with its storied legacy of producing national stars, adds another chapter to its record books through Khan's achievement, setting a benchmark for aspiring all‑rounders in the region.
