Law enforcement agencies have lodged multiple First Information Reports (FIRs) against a well‑known YouTuber and an Awadhi folk singer Sanjay His Brother Shiva And His Friends.
First case: Sabotage and damage to public property
• Complainant: Sushil Kumar Srivastava, in-charge of Tikonia Park of Municipal Council
Allegation: During the protest, the boundary wall and gate of Tikonia Park and the stainless steel railings and grills of the nearby Swami Vivekananda Park were severely damaged.
• Estimated loss: According to the municipal administration, government property worth about Rs 2.5 lakh has been damaged.
• Accused: Sanjay Yadavvanshi and 200 to 250 unidentified supporters.
• Legal action: Police have registered a case under the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act.
2. Second case: Insulting Ambedkar's picture and inciting social sentiments
• Complainant: Subhash Sonkar, a resident of Karodia.
• Allegation: During the protest, a portrait of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was torn, thrown in the air, thrown on the road, and trampled underfoot. According to the complaint, this act hurt the religious and social sentiments of the Scheduled Caste community.
• Accused: Sanjay Yaduvanshi, Ambuj Yadav, Shahjahan Pathan, Anil and others.
• Legal action: Police have registered a case in this matter under the relevant sections as well as the SC/ST Act.
3. Third case: Unauthorized gathering of crowds and desecration of statues
• Complainant: Advocate Abhay Sharma, President of Bharat Vikas Parishad.
• Allegation: A crowd of hundreds of people was gathered without any administrative permission, causing massive traffic jams on the main road and inconvenience to schoolchildren and the general public. Additionally, protesters, wearing shoes and slippers, climbed on statues of Swami Vivekananda and former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, thereby disrespecting them. Religious symbols (such as Om and Swastika) in the park are also alleged to have been damaged.
