Madhya Pradesh is set to introduce an online bus ticket booking system, allowing passengers to reserve seats from home similar to train reservations via a dedicated app.
The government of Madhya Pradesh is preparing to digitize its public transport sector by introducing an online reservation system for state-run buses. This move aims to bring convenience to commuters by allowing them to book tickets directly from their homes, eliminating the need to visit physical counters.
The new system will function similarly to the existing Indian Railways reservation platform, where passengers can select their preferred seats and routes through a digital interface. The state administration has confirmed that a dedicated mobile application for this service is in the final stages of development and is planned for launch soon.
This initiative is expected to reduce long queues at bus stations and provide a transparent, paperless booking experience for travelers across the state. By adopting technology-driven solutions, the government seeks to enhance the overall efficiency and user experience of the state's road transport network.
