Madhya Pradesh will experience a temporary break in heavy rainfall for the next three days. A new weather system is expected to become active over the Bay of Bengal on September 11, potentially bringing renewed heavy rain to districts such as Chhatarpur, Panna, Damoh and Katni from September 12.
The state has seen a pause in intense rainfall over the coming three days, offering relief after recent wet spells. Despite this break, the overall monsoon rainfall in Madhya Pradesh remains about six percent below the long‑term average.
Meteorologists say the respite is due to a temporary weakening of the prevailing weather pattern. After this lull, a fresh low‑pressure area is likely to form over the Bay of Bengal on September 11.
Once activated, this system is forecast to move inland and intensify rainfall across several eastern districts of the state. The districts of Chhatarpur, Panna, Damoh and Katni are specifically mentioned as areas where heavy rain could resume from September 12 onward.
