The Madhya Pradesh Minerals Department has seized 14 boat engines and a dredging machine from the Narmada River in Seohore district to curb illegal sand mining.
The Madhya Pradesh Minerals Department has launched a significant crackdown against illegal sand mining operations in the Narmada River within Seohore district. The enforcement action was carried out in the areas of Chhapiyaner, Ranipura, and Chaurasakheri.
During the operation, officials successfully seized 14 boat engines and one heavy dredging machine used for extracting sand. These items were identified as being used for unauthorized mining activities that violate environmental and mining regulations.
Following the seizure, the confiscated equipment was handed over to the Gopalpur police station for further legal action and storage. The department aims to maintain strict vigilance to prevent such illegal activities in the future.
