MP Govt Appoints 108 Eldermen

The Madhya Pradesh government has initiated the process of appointing nominated councilors, also known as Eldermen, in municipal corporations. A total of 108 Eldermen have been appointed across 13 municipal corporations.
The Urban Development and Housing Department has issued orders for the appointment of 108 Eldermen in 13 municipal corporations. The appointments are part of the government's efforts to strengthen local governance. In Bhopal, 12 Eldermen have been appointed, while the remaining corporations have 8 Eldermen each. The move is expected to bring about more efficient decision-making and improved public services in the state's urban areas.
