MP Government Issues 3,500 Notices to Patwaris, 29 Fired, 129 Suspended

The Madhya Pradesh government has taken strict action against patwaris involved in land ownership schemes, issuing over 3,500 notices, dismissing 29 and suspending 129. The patwari union remains unwilling to resume work until its demands are met.
The Madhya Pradesh government has intensified its crackdown on patwaris involved in land ownership schemes, announcing a series of disciplinary measures.
According to official figures, more than 3,500 patwaris received notices, 29 were dismissed from service, and 129 were suspended pending investigations.
The patwari union, however, has stated that it will not return to work until its demands are addressed. The union’s leadership has expressed frustration over what it sees as unfair treatment.
In an effort to resolve the dispute, the union’s representatives met with the Deputy Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, seeking a dialogue to address the concerns and restore normal operations.
