Monsoon Retreats, but Rain Expected in Parts of India on Friday

The monsoon season is gradually receding across India, but the Indian Meteorological Department has issued a forecast indicating that rainfall will still reach certain parts of the country on Friday. The warning comes as the monsoon trough moves northward, leaving the western and central regions drier. However, pockets of moisture are expected to bring showers to the eastern and northeastern states. Residents in these areas are advised to stay alert to local weather updates and take necessary precautions. The government has urged people to prepare for possible flooding in low‑lying areas.
