Monsoon Leaves Rajasthan; No Widespread Rain Expected on Sept 29

The monsoon season has withdrawn from most parts of Rajasthan, and meteorologists forecast only scattered light showers in a few areas on September 29.
Jaipur, Sept 29 – The Indian Meteorological Department confirmed that the monsoon trough has moved out of Rajasthan, ending the rainy spell that began earlier in the year. Weather models show no significant precipitation across the state for today, with only isolated light showers possible in a handful of districts.
Officials warned that the lack of rainfall could affect soil moisture levels ahead of the upcoming winter cropping season, especially in arid zones that rely on monsoon recharge. However, they also noted that temperatures are expected to remain moderate, reducing immediate heat stress.
Residents in the capital and other urban centres are advised to stay updated through local forecasts, while farmers in the western and southern districts are urged to monitor groundwater levels and plan irrigation accordingly.
