During the Balram Mahotsav in Guna, MLA Pannalal Shaky claimed that no women died in the Mahabharata war, a statement that prompted MLA Priyanka Panchi to confront him on stage.
The annual Balram Mahotsav, a cultural festival celebrating the legendary warrior, was held in Guna this year with a large gathering of local dignitaries and residents.
During a panel discussion, MLA Pannalal Shaky of the ruling party stated that women did not die in the Mahabharata war, a claim that was widely regarded as historically inaccurate.
MLA Priyanka Panchi, representing the opposition, immediately challenged Shaky on stage, calling his statement "unfounded" and demanding a correction.
The confrontation attracted attention from local media and sparked debate among attendees, but no formal complaint was filed against either politician.
