The Mizoram government has inked a Memorandum of Understanding with eight banks to streamline banking services across all state departments under the ‘One Department, One Bank’ initiative.
The Mizoram government has formalised a partnership with eight banking institutions under its ‘One Department, One Bank’ initiative, aiming to centralise banking services for all state departments.
The banks involved include State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, Union Bank of India, Central Bank of India, IDBI Bank, and Indian Bank.
The move is expected to reduce paperwork, improve transparency and speed up financial transactions for government departments.
A government spokesperson said the MoU will enable departments to access banking facilities through a single point of contact, enhancing efficiency and accountability.
