The government has ordered mandatory biometric and AI-based checks at NEET examination centres to enhance transparency in upcoming medical entrance exams.

The Ministry has announced a revision of the NEET examination regulations, making biometric and artificial‑intelligence (AI) based verification compulsory at all test centres. The decision is aimed at preserving the integrity of the upcoming medical entrance examinations.

By requiring candidates to undergo biometric scans and AI‑driven monitoring, the ministry seeks to curb impersonation and other forms of malpractice, thereby ensuring a fair and transparent assessment process.

All NEET test centres will be equipped with the necessary biometric devices and AI systems, and candidates will be required to complete the verification procedure before entering the examination hall.

The directive will be implemented ahead of the next NEET cycle, with detailed guidelines to be issued to the concerned authorities for smooth execution.

Officials emphasized that the new measures are intended to strengthen confidence in the medical admission process and uphold the credibility of the NEET exam.
