The minister overseeing the region assured that the deteriorating Gangori‑Agora road will be repaired without delay.
The minister in charge of the local administration announced today that the damaged Gangori‑Agora road will be repaired promptly. The statement came after a series of complaints from commuters about potholes and unsafe conditions on the stretch that connects several villages.
The repair work is slated to begin within the next two weeks, with the state public works department tasked to supervise the project. Officials said that necessary materials have been procured and that the contractor will be selected through an expedited tender process.
Local residents expect the refurbishment to improve travel safety and reduce vehicle wear, which has been a growing concern for daily commuters and transport operators. The road is a vital link for agricultural produce reaching nearby markets.
Funding for the project will be drawn from the state’s infrastructure development budget, and the minister pledged regular monitoring to ensure timely completion.
The announcement underscores the administration’s focus on upgrading rural connectivity ahead of the upcoming monsoon season, when road conditions typically deteriorate further.
