The Agriculture and Arts & Culture departments of Meghalaya have been honoured with the SKOCH Silver Awards, recognising their achievements in governance and public service.
Meghalaya’s Agriculture Department and the Arts & Culture Department have each received a SKOCH Silver Award, as announced by the state’s officials. The awards, presented by the Society for Knowledge and Communication (SKOCH), acknowledge exemplary initiatives in public administration and service delivery.
The recognition comes amid ongoing efforts by the state government to strengthen agricultural productivity and promote cultural heritage. Both departments cited innovative programs that have improved farmer outreach and enhanced cultural promotion across the region.
State officials said the awards underscore Meghalaya’s commitment to good governance and will encourage further innovation in sectoral policies. The departments plan to build on this momentum to expand successful schemes and share best practices with other states.
The SKOCH Awards are part of an annual national programme that celebrates excellence in governance, technology adoption and citizen‑centric services across India.
