Manipur Cycling Association equips state team with kits for Track Cycling Nationals

Manipur’s governing body for cycling handed over official uniforms and equipment kits to the state team that will compete in the upcoming Track Cycling Nationals. The distribution ceremony was organized by the Manipur Cycling Association, which oversees the development of the sport in the state. Officials emphasized that the new kits, featuring the state’s colors and logo, aim to boost the athletes’ morale and present a professional image at the national level. The team, comprising both seasoned and emerging cyclists, will travel to the national venue later this month to contest in various track events. The association hopes the support will translate into strong performances and raise the profile of Manipur’s cycling talent.

The handover took place at the association’s headquarters, where coaches and team members received the attire and gear. Representatives highlighted that the provision of standardized kits is part of a broader effort to improve training facilities and competitive exposure for cyclists in the region. The upcoming nationals are seen as a crucial platform for Manipur’s riders to showcase their skills against peers from across India.

With the uniforms now in place, the state team is set to focus on final preparations, including intensive track sessions and strategic planning, as they aim for podium finishes at the championships.
