Malad Police Arrest Gang Disguised as Home‑Cleaning Workers, Recover Gold Worth Rs 12 Lakh

Mumbai police in the Malad suburb arrested a gang that had entered residential premises under the pretense of being home‑cleaning workers. The suspects allegedly used the disguise to gain the trust of occupants before looting gold jewellery and other valuables.

Investigators say the stolen items are valued at roughly Rs 12 lakh, and a portion of the loot was recovered during the raid. The arrested individuals are being interrogated to uncover any wider network involved in similar thefts across the city.

Authorities have urged residents to verify the credentials of service personnel and report any suspicious behavior to prevent further incidents.
