Maihar Administration Bans Meat/Fish Sales, Deploys 650 Police for Navratri Pilgrims

The Maihar administration has prohibited meat and fish sales and deployed 650 police personnel to secure the Maa Sharda temple area for Navratri pilgrims. Temporary bus stands and LED screens for live darshan have also been arranged.
During the Navratri festival, a large number of devotees are expected to visit the Maa Sharda temple in Maihar, Madhya Pradesh. To accommodate the influx, the district administration has activated special security and traffic management plans.
As part of these measures, the sale of meat and fish has been prohibited in the town, and 650 police personnel have been deployed to maintain law and order and regulate vehicle movement.
Authorities have set up a temporary bus stand near the temple premises to streamline the arrival and departure of pilgrims. Additionally, LED screens have been installed to broadcast live darshan for those unable to enter the sanctum immediately.
Officials said the arrangements aim to provide a safe and orderly environment for worshippers, ensuring that the religious observances proceed smoothly throughout the festival period.
