Maharashtra MLC winner alleges rival’s ballot paper left in ballot box

The newly declared winner of a Maharashtra Legislative Council (MLC) seat has publicly claimed that a ballot paper intended for a rival candidate was inadvertently placed inside the ballot box. The allegation was made shortly after the results were announced, prompting calls for an investigation into the voting process. Election officials have not yet commented on the matter, and no formal complaint has been filed as of now. The incident adds a layer of controversy to an otherwise routine council election in the state. Authorities are expected to review the claim to ensure the integrity of the electoral procedure.
