Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde today announced a revised sugarcane price aimed at boosting the state's farmers, while former CM Devendra Fadnavis weighed in on the move.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced a new sugarcane price today, a move intended to provide a better income for the state's large number of sugarcane farmers.
The announcement was made during a press briefing in Mumbai, where Shinde outlined the revised rate and the rationale behind it.
Former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who has been vocal about agricultural policies, commented on the decision, expressing his views on the impact of the new price.
The revised rate is expected to influence the sugarcane market across the state, potentially affecting both small and large farmers.
Analysts say the move could help stabilize farmer incomes amid fluctuating market prices.
