Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis highlighted that a focused push on education, vocational training and job creation will be the cornerstone of India's journey toward developed‑nation status by 2047, the year marking a hundred years of independence.
He linked these three pillars directly to economic growth, urging both state and central governments to allocate greater resources to schools, skill‑development centres and employment schemes.
Fadnavis pointed out that Maharashtra has already launched several initiatives in these areas, but stressed that a coordinated national effort involving industry, academia and policy makers is required to meet the 2047 target.
The CM called for reforms that promote digital learning, expand access to quality education in rural regions, and strengthen partnerships with the private sector to generate sustainable employment opportunities.
