The Madhya Pradesh government announced the overnight transfer of 12 Indian Police Service officers, including changes to the Superintendent of Police positions in five districts and the appointment of a new Traffic Deputy Commissioner in Bhopal.
The state government of Madhya Pradesh carried out a significant police reshuffle late at night, transferring a total of 12 Indian Police Service officers to new postings. The move also saw the Superintendent of Police positions in five districts altered, with new officers taking over the roles.
In addition to the district-level changes, the capital city of Bhopal received a new Traffic Deputy Commissioner, a post that will oversee traffic management and road safety initiatives across the city.
The transfers were announced by the state’s Home Department, which stated that the changes were part of a routine administrative reorganisation aimed at improving policing efficiency. No further details about the individual officers or their new assignments have been released.
The reshuffle comes amid a broader trend of police reassignments across India, as states seek to address evolving security challenges and administrative needs.
