Madhya Pradesh to Launch Chief Minister Bus Service on Sept 25, CM Promises Safety and Convenience

The Madhya Pradesh government will roll out the Chief Minister Bus Service on September 25, with Chief Minister Mohan Yadav pledging a modern, digital and passenger‑friendly transport network that prioritises safety.
Madhya Pradesh’s transport ministry announced that the state‑run Chief Minister Bus Service will commence operations on 25 September. The initiative, unveiled at the Passenger Transport Vision Summit‑2026, aims to provide a reliable and comfortable option for commuters across the state.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, speaking at the summit, emphasized that the new fleet will be equipped with safety features and will operate on a digital ticketing platform to streamline boarding and reduce cash handling. He said the government is committed to building a citizen‑centric transport network that meets modern standards.
The rollout will initially cover major corridors linking Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior and other urban centres, with plans to expand to smaller towns based on demand. Officials indicated that the service will be monitored through real‑time tracking and feedback mechanisms to ensure quality and responsiveness.
State officials expect the bus service to alleviate pressure on existing public transport, reduce traffic congestion and contribute to the state’s broader goal of sustainable mobility.
Further details on routes, fares and schedule will be released by the transport department in the coming days.
