Madhya Pradesh to enforce regular monitoring of doctors in government hospitals

The Madhya Pradesh government announced that the presence and performance of doctors in its public hospitals will now be subject to systematic, regular checks. Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla emphasized that timely attendance of medical staff is essential for delivering uninterrupted patient care. He also directed health officials to fast‑track the recruitment of specialist physicians to address existing gaps in expertise. The new monitoring framework aims to improve accountability and ensure that hospitals remain fully staffed during all shifts. Officials said the measures will be implemented across the state’s network of government hospitals within the next few weeks.
