State teachers’ unions in Madhya Pradesh have asked the education department for six changes to the e‑attendance system after network and server problems led to reduced pay.

Government teachers in Madhya Pradesh are facing salary deductions because the e‑attendance platform is failing to register their presence accurately. The problem stems from recurring network outages, server downtimes and glitches in the mobile application, which have left many teachers marked absent despite being on duty.

In response, the state’s teachers’ organization has submitted a formal list of six specific amendments to the education department. The demands include strengthening the network infrastructure, ensuring reliable server performance, upgrading the attendance app, providing real‑time error alerts, allowing manual verification of attendance records, and instituting a grievance redressal mechanism for affected staff.

The union warns that without prompt corrective action, the technical flaws will continue to erode teachers’ earnings and morale. It has urged the department to implement the requested changes before the next payroll cycle to prevent further financial loss for educators.

Education officials have acknowledged the complaints and indicated that a review of the e‑attendance system is underway, though no concrete timeline has been announced.
