At the start of October, night temperatures in Madhya Pradesh fell below 20°C while daytime highs crossed 35°C in several cities, with strong sunshine expected for the next three days and light rain forecast for the eastern region from Oct 6.

Madhya Pradesh experienced a noticeable shift in weather as October began. Overnight temperatures dropped below the 20°C mark, with readings around 18°C recorded in five major cities across the state.

During the same period, daytime mercury surged, pushing past the 35°C threshold in several locations, indicating a stark contrast between night and day conditions.

The regional meteorological department has issued a short‑term outlook predicting three days of intense sunshine across the state. However, from 6 October onward, the eastern districts are expected to see light showers, offering some relief from the heat.

Authorities advise residents to stay hydrated, limit outdoor activities during peak heat hours, and be prepared for sudden rain in the eastern zones.
