After eight days of continuous showers, the monsoon has eased in Madhya Pradesh, with night temperatures dropping to 13°C in Amarkantak and daytime highs staying below 35°C in several cities.
The recent spell of heavy rain that swept across Madhya Pradesh for the past eight days has finally subsided, according to the state’s meteorological department. In Amarkantak, the lowest temperature recorded early today was 13°C, marking a noticeable drop from the previous night’s highs. Meanwhile, cities such as Bhopal, Indore and Jabalpur reported daytime temperatures that remained under 35°C, providing a brief respite from the earlier heat.
Weather officials have issued a clear‑sky outlook for the next four days, with no rain alerts expected across the state. This lull is expected to give farmers and commuters a short window of stable conditions before the monsoon pattern shifts again later in the week.
Residents are advised to stay updated with local forecasts, as the meteorological service cautions that the monsoon could regain momentum in the coming days, potentially altering temperatures and precipitation levels once more.
