A batch of Patanjali cow ghee failed safety tests in Madhya Pradesh, prompting the food department to order its removal from shops. Any remaining packets will be seized.
Madhya Pradesh food safety authorities reported that a specific batch of Patanjali cow ghee was found unsafe during routine laboratory analysis.
Following the result, the state food department issued a recall notice, directing traders and retailers to withdraw the product from the market and return any stock to the manufacturer.
Officials warned that any packets of the ghee still discovered in shops would be confiscated, and further monitoring will be carried out to ensure compliance.
