Madhya Pradesh MLA Phool Singh Baraiya Calls for Separate Tribunal for SC/ST/OBC Officials

Amid complaints of caste-based discrimination against SC, ST and OBC government employees, MLA Phool Singh Baraiya urged the state to set up a dedicated administrative tribunal.
Several officials belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes in Madhya Pradesh have lodged complaints alleging caste-based discrimination within the state bureaucracy. The grievances, reported by local media, highlight perceived bias in postings, promotions and day‑to‑day interactions.
In response, Madhya Pradesh legislator Phool Singh Baraiya raised the issue in the assembly, demanding the creation of a separate administrative tribunal to adjudicate such cases. Baraiya argued that a specialised body would ensure quicker, impartial redressal and protect the rights of marginalized employees.
The call adds to growing pressure on the state government to address systemic bias. While the administration has not yet announced a concrete plan, officials indicated that the proposal will be examined alongside existing grievance mechanisms.
