Madhya Pradesh launches Hindi-medium BTech in Civil Engineering with Rs 2 lakh final-year incentive

The Madhya Pradesh government has introduced a Hindi-medium BTech program in civil engineering and will award a Rs 2 lakh incentive to students completing the final year.
The state government announced the rollout of a Hindi-medium Bachelor of Technology course in civil engineering, aiming to make technical education more accessible to students who prefer studying in Hindi.
The program will be offered across state engineering colleges and will follow AICTE‑approved curricula, with all lectures, textbooks and assessments delivered in Hindi.
To boost enrollment, a one‑time financial incentive of Rs 2 lakh will be granted to students who successfully complete the final year, payable as a scholarship or direct cash assistance.
Officials said the initiative addresses the language barrier that deters many aspirants, supports regional talent, and aligns with the broader national push for vernacular higher‑education streams.
The scheme is slated to begin from the next academic session, with detailed eligibility criteria and application procedures to be released by the Madhya Pradesh Higher Education Department.
