Madhya Pradesh Govt Announces ₹4 Lakh Aid to Families of Bunda Poisonous Liquor Victims

The Madhya Pradesh government has pledged a compensation of ₹4 lakh per family of the victims who died after consuming poisonous liquor in Bunda, Sagar district, and ordered a crackdown on the illegal alcohol network.
Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Devda announced that each family of the victims of the recent poisonous liquor tragedy in Bunda will receive a financial assistance of ₹4 lakh. The compensation package is intended to provide immediate relief to the bereaved families and is part of a broader effort to address the illegal liquor trade in the region.
The incident, which claimed several lives after people consumed spurious alcohol, has prompted the state administration to tighten enforcement measures. Officials have been instructed to identify and dismantle the entire supply chain that facilitated the distribution of the toxic liquor.
State authorities said that special investigative teams will work with local police to trace the manufacturers, distributors and sellers involved. The government also warned that anyone found responsible will face strict legal action under existing excise and criminal statutes.
