Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Yadav will hand out a total of ₹300 crore in loans to self‑help groups in Jhabua district today, as part of a state‑run financial support drive.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Yadav announced that a cash‑less loan package worth ₹300 crore will be released to self‑help groups (SHGs) operating in Jhabua district today. The disbursement is being carried out under a state‑sponsored scheme aimed at strengthening micro‑enterprise activities and improving livelihood security in the tribal‑dominant region.
The loans, which range from modest amounts for individual groups to larger sums for cluster initiatives, are intended to fund income‑generating projects such as dairy, horticulture and small‑scale manufacturing. Beneficiaries will receive the funds through the district’s Rural Development Office, which will verify eligibility based on existing SHG registries.
State officials said the initiative aligns with Madhya Pradesh’s broader goal of expanding financial inclusion and reducing rural poverty. The CM’s presence at the distribution ceremony underscores the government’s commitment to direct support for marginalized communities in Jhabua.
