Local groups and officials are ramping up efforts to secure additional police positions in Patancheru, citing growing law‑and‑order needs.
Patancheru, a rapidly expanding industrial town in Telangana, has seen a surge in calls for more police personnel.
Community leaders, senior police officers and local representatives have begun a coordinated lobbying campaign aimed at the state government to approve new police posts.
Advocates argue that the town’s growing population and expanding commercial activity have stretched the existing force, affecting response times and public safety.
State officials have not yet disclosed a timeline for any decision, but the intensified lobbying indicates that the issue is gaining political attention.
