Hospitality chain Lemon Tree Hotels has opened the first Keys Prima hotel in Darjeeling, marking the brand’s entry into the hill‑station market.
Lemon Tree Hotels, one of India’s leading mid‑scale hotel chains, announced the opening of its Keys Prima brand’s first property in Darjeeling. The new hotel, situated in the popular hill‑station of West Bengal, adds to the chain’s portfolio of upscale accommodations targeting leisure and business travelers.
The launch is part of Lemon Tree’s strategic expansion into premium segments and under‑served tourist destinations. The Darjeeling property is expected to offer 80‑plus rooms, dining outlets, and event spaces designed to cater to both domestic and international guests.
Industry analysts view the move as a response to growing demand for quality hospitality in the Northeastern region, where tourism has been on an upward trajectory. The hotel is slated to begin operations in early November, with bookings already opening on the brand’s online platform.
Lemon Tree Hotels’ spokesperson said the Darjeeling opening reflects the company’s confidence in the region’s tourism potential and its commitment to delivering consistent service standards across new markets.
