After a four‑month shutdown, the road leading to the remote town of Lachen in Sikkim has been reopened, re‑establishing vital year‑round access for residents and tourists.
The mountain road that connects the district headquarters of North Sikkim to the high‑altitude village of Lachen has been cleared and opened to traffic after a four‑month suspension.
