During a rally at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan, senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge playfully warned supporters to stay quiet, saying he could talk for an hour if they didn’t.
Earlier today, a large gathering assembled at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi for a Congress rally led by senior leader Mallikarjun Kharge. Addressing the crowd, Kharge made a light‑hearted remark, telling his supporters to keep quiet or he would end up speaking for an hour.
The comment was met with laughter and applause, with many attendees echoing the jovial tone. Kharge continued his speech after the brief banter, outlining the party’s priorities and urging voters to consider Congress in the upcoming elections.
Political analysts noted that the rally, held in the capital’s historic venue, is part of the party’s broader effort to revive its presence ahead of the state and national polls. Kharge’s informal style was seen as an attempt to connect personally with the audience while reinforcing his message.
The event concluded without any incidents, and organizers thanked the crowd for their participation, emphasizing the need for continued public engagement.
