A wall at singer Diljit Dosanjh’s house in Jalandhar was reported to bear Khalistani slogans, prompting media scrutiny and public debate.
A wall at the Jalandhar home of popular Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh was observed to display slogans associated with the Khalistan separatist movement. The images, circulated on social media, show the slogans painted in bold letters, leading to immediate public and media attention.
The presence of such slogans on a celebrity's property is considered sensitive in India, where Khalistani symbols are often linked to past insurgency and are monitored by security agencies. While no official comment has been released by Dosanjh or his representatives, local authorities have been reported to take note of the incident.
The incident has sparked a debate on freedom of expression versus the potential for communal tension, with commentators urging a careful investigation to determine whether the markings were deliberate or the result of vandalism.
As of now, no legal action has been announced, and the matter remains under observation by local law enforcement and media outlets.
