Kerala's Ranji Trophy campaign begins with a clash against Jharkhand, with the side hoping to reset its fortunes early in the tournament.
Kerala will kick off its Ranji Trophy season facing Jharkhand, a fixture that the team hopes will mark a positive turning point after a mixed previous campaign. The opening match forms part of the Elite Group stage of the 2023-24 Ranji Trophy, and both sides will be looking to secure early points to strengthen their position in the league.
Team management has emphasized the need for disciplined batting and a disciplined bowling attack to capitalize on the conditions. Senior players are expected to lead by example, while younger talent will get opportunities to prove themselves on a big stage.
Cricket fans in both states are anticipating a competitive encounter, with Kerala aiming to build momentum that could carry them through the remainder of the tournament.
