The Karnataka government has finalized arrangements to bring back the bodies of victims from the recent Uttarakhand tragedy. Chief Minister Shivakumar appealed to tourists to remain cautious while traveling in the area.

A disaster in Uttarakhand that resulted in multiple fatalities prompted swift action from neighboring state authorities. The Karnataka government announced that all logistical and administrative measures have been completed to repatriate the bodies of its residents who perished in the incident.

State officials coordinated with Uttarakhand authorities to secure transport, obtain necessary clearances, and ensure dignified handling of the remains. Families in Karnataka have been informed and are being assisted with the formalities required for the return of their loved ones.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah Shivakumar, addressing the media, urged tourists and pilgrims heading to the Himalayan region to exercise heightened caution, citing the ongoing hazards that led to the tragedy. He emphasized the need for adherence to safety advisories issued by local agencies.

The government also pledged continued support to affected families and reiterated its commitment to cooperate with Uttarakhand officials in any further relief or investigative efforts.
