Karnataka Cane Farmers to Gherao District Collector Offices Today

Cane farmers in Karnataka have announced that they will gherao (block) district collector offices today as a form of protest. The move is aimed at drawing attention to their grievances, though the specific demands have not been detailed in the announcement. Local authorities are preparing to manage the situation and ensure that essential services remain operational. The protest is part of a broader trend of farmer activism across the state, with several groups seeking better support and fair pricing for their produce. No incidents of violence have been reported so far, and the farmers intend to maintain a peaceful demonstration.
