കേന്ദ്ര സർക്കാർ പിന്നോട്ടുപോയിരിക്കുകയാണ്
Malappuram: The Kerala Traders and Businessmen Coordination Committee has decided to organize a protest program against the central government's decision to implement MDR (Merchant Discount Rate) charge for UPI transactions from October 15. Earlier, it had met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in person and conveyed the concerns of the traders. However, the central government has gone back on the assurance given at that time. MDR is another blow to the small business sector, which is burdened by various taxes and fees.
The Kerala Traders and Businessmen Coordination Committee State Committee is organizing a Lok Mai March with lakhs of traders on October 15 in Thiruvananthapuram against this. Around 5,000 traders will participate in the Lok Bhavan March from the district to the Bhavan on that day. The traders are not conducting transactions through UPI.
In connection with the strike, a torch-lighting demonstration and proclamation procession will be held in all units of Malappuram district in the evening

(Merchant Discount Rate) ചാർജ് ബാധകമാക്കാനുള്ള കേന്ദ്ര സർക്കാർ തീരുമാനത്തിനെതിരെ കേരള വ്യാപാരി വ്യവസായി ഏകോപന സമിതി പ്രതിഷേധ പരിപാടി സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുവാൻ തീരുമാനിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണ്. നേരത്തെ കേന്ദ്ര ധനമന്ത്രി നിർമല സീതാരാമനെ നേരിൽ കണ്ട് വ്യാപാരികളുടെ ആശങ്കകൾ അറിയിച്ചിരുന്നതാണ്. എന്നാൽ, അന്ന് നൽകിയ ഉറപ്പിൽ നിന്ന് കേന്ദ്ര സർക്കാർ പിന്നോട്ടുപോയിരിക്കുകയാണ്. വിവിധ നികുതികളും ഫീസുകളും കൊണ്ട് വലയുന്ന ചെറുകിട കച്ചവട മേഖലക്ക് മറ്റൊരു പ്രഹരമാണ് MDR
ഇതിനെതിരെ കേരള വ്യാപാരി വ്യവസായി ഏകോപന സമിതി സംസ്ഥാന കമ്മറ്റി ഒക്ടോബർ 15 നു തിരുവനന്തപുരം ലോക് മായി മാർച്ച് കച്ചവടക്കാരുമായി ലക്ഷത്തോളം നടത്തുകയാണ്. ലോക ഭവൻ മാർച്ചിൽ ജില്ലയിൽ നിന്നും ഭവനിലേക്ക് ഒരു അന്നേ അയ്യായിരത്തോളം വ്യാപാരികൾ പങ്കെടുക്കും. വ്യാപാരികൾ UPI വഴിയുള്ള ഇടപാടുകൾ നടത്തുന്നതുമല്ല.
