He walked to the judge’s car and handed her a cheque worth Rs 8,21,667, the award amount announced by the court.
The gesture was highlighted by local media as an example of judicial sensitivity and respect for senior citizens. Sharma, who had been unable to climb the stairs due to her age, received the payment without having to rely on others.
