The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education has directed a probe after a mathematics exam paper malfunction at its Mahore Centre.
The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) announced on Monday that it will launch an investigation into a technical outage that disrupted the administration of a mathematics paper at its Mahore Centre. The glitch was reported during the scheduled exam window, causing the paper to become inaccessible for a period of time.
According to officials, the outage affected several hundred students who were present at the centre. JKBOSE has temporarily halted the assessment process at Mahore and is reviewing the circumstances that led to the failure, including possible software or hardware issues.
The board has assured parents and students that the investigation will be completed swiftly and that appropriate remedial measures, such as a re‑conduct of the paper or compensation, will be decided based on the findings. A detailed report is expected to be submitted to the education ministry within the next week.
