The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir stated that the region has witnessed significant peace and development since the abrogation of Article 370.

Srinagar, Nov 1 (The Kashmir Images) – The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir said that the state has experienced a marked improvement in peace and development since the central government revoked Article 370 in August 2019. He highlighted that the removal of the special status has paved the way for greater integration with the rest of India and opened new avenues for economic activity. The official noted that infrastructure projects, tourism initiatives and public services have expanded under the new administrative framework. While acknowledging ongoing challenges, the LG emphasized that the overall security environment has become more stable, encouraging investment and community confidence. The statement reflects the government's narrative of progress in the region following the constitutional change.
