The Jammu and Kashmir administration has issued an order promoting staff within the Directorate of Economics and Statistics, as reported by Kashmir Life.
Srinagar, Oct 11 (Kashmir Life) – The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has formally ordered a series of promotions for personnel serving in the Directorate of Economics and Statistics. The directive, issued under the state’s civil service rules, lists the eligible cadres and the new designations they will assume.
The promotion order aims to recognize the performance of senior analysts and statisticians who have contributed to recent data collection and policy‑making initiatives across the state. Officials from the department said the move will also help address long‑standing vacancies in senior posts.
The Directorate, which compiles economic indicators and demographic statistics for the region, is expected to benefit from the morale boost and enhanced expertise that the promotions bring. No new recruitment drive was announced alongside the order.
The decision was communicated to all concerned officers through an official circular, and implementation is slated to begin next month, subject to standard procedural clearances.
