Jharkhand’s health department has announced a pilot program to introduce Diplomate of National Board (DNB) training courses in five district hospitals, aiming to enhance specialist medical education at the regional level.

The state health department announced a new initiative to launch DNB courses in five district hospitals as a pilot project. The program will provide specialist training for doctors in fields such as surgery, internal medicine and pediatrics. By using existing hospital infrastructure, the scheme aims to reduce the need for trainees to relocate to tertiary centres. Officials expect the pilot to improve the quality of healthcare services across Jharkhand and create more local opportunities for medical professionals.
